Mette Lundorf

I began playing the trumpet when I was 10 in a Danish marching band called  Thisted Garden, but my focus changed when I was introduced to the Brass Band movement in 1987 by the late Preben Norgarrd Christensen, and I have been hooked ever since.

Before moving to England in 1992 I was lucky to be part of Nordvestjysk Brass Band and Hjorring Musikskoles Brass Band which enabled me to travel and enjoy some fabulous experiences. My whole family was involved, and it became a huge part of my upbringing.

Since 1992 I have played with City of Cambridge Brass Band, Waterbeach Brass Band and now Battle Town Band and Thomas and Friends ensemble which I really enjoy.

I am very proud to be part of the grass roots of the Brass Band movement encouraging others to enjoy music for all.
